In this class we will explore the the neuroscience behind tenacity and willpower. How the brain works and thus understand how to identify and overcome common challenges when following through with personal and professional change.
How do you convert that energy from "yah I am really interested in losing weight or having a meditation practice or switching careers" to "I am sooo committed to this" and actually following through.
We will explore:
- Why it literally feels like an internal struggle to actually do what you want to, to make real change (hint because it is) and where this is represented in the brain
- Why the way most of us get into action is by using our inner voice like a drill sergeant really does not work for long term results and how tone can make all the difference
- How your values, and reminding yourself of your values, are key to follow through
- Practices that you can implement easily into your busy schedule to begin seeing immediate progress towards your goals
